Today makes 46 weeks in on this reflective journey..6 weeks away from doing this for 1 year😍1st pic was taken Spring 2019..2nd pic was taken this morning..Total 64lbs down (took less than 8 mos)..started 1/06/2020 @ 174lbs..now 110lbs..no exercise routine was used, this weight has dropped specifically from eating SOFAS Free ( Salt Oil Flour Alcohol Sugar Free) Whole Food Plant Exclusive, Low Caloric Density Specific..I’m feeling grateful that as a Refined Food Addict and Overeater in Recovery, on this journey I’ve been learning to disassociate the notion of Celebrating Anything..or even comforting myself…with eating..drinking alcohol or any other number of activities that haven’t been in my body’s best interest…I now Celebrate and Comfort myself by doing things like throwing myself a “hype” music party w/ positive-themed songs, taking a break, Unplugging, sharing w/ family/friends, keeping a daily, consistent Gratitude ritual in place..I call it Crutch Free Living..and I’m loving it..Here’s to our health💕 #crutchfreeliving#eatingformyl1fe#refinedfoodaddictinrecovery#sofasfreeliving#leafygreensforfirstmeal#veggiesforfirstmeal#hydrate

SOSF Free (Salt Oil Sugar Flour Free) Vegan Sweet Potato Pie and SOSF Free Baked Sweet Potatoes (topped w/ cinnamon)..for the crust, I used Sandy’s Vegan Blogs and Blah’s recipe..1 and 1/2 cup of rolled oats, half of cup of unsweetened applesauce and a few scrapings of a vanilla pod..pulse in a food processor (or just thoroughly mix), just until mixture comes together, then spread in a pie pan and bake crust at 320 degrees for 20 min..for the filling, you can simply bake 2 sweet potatoes(These days I poke holes in them and bake for about 60 min at 450 degrees), then scoop the contents out and mix w/ 2 ripe bananas, process into a puree (or just thoroughly mix), stir in some cinnamon (and a pinch of nutmeg, ginger and allspice if you prefer – all season to preference)..spread filling in pie crust and bake at 320 degrees until it’s a consistency you’re comfortable with (I did about 40 min)..I included a pic of the baked sweet potatoes because, these days, now that I just eat when my body calls for fuel, and am no longer driven by cravings, keeping it simple is way more appealing to me and the baked sweet potatoes, fresh from the oven, topped w/ cinnamon, is reminding me of sweet potato pie, w/out the crust..and gratefully, for me, a Refined Food Addict and Overeater in Recovery, 10 months in to abstaining from salt, oil, flour, alcohol and sugar, it works. Today makes 45 weeks in on this breathtaking journey..7 weeks away from doing this for 1 year😍1st pic was taken a year ago..2nd pic was taken last week..Total 64lbs down (took about 6 mos)..started 1/06/2020 @ 174lbs..now 110lbs..no exercise routine was used, this weight has dropped specifically from eating SOFAS Free (Salt Oil Flour Alcohol Sugar Free) Whole Food Plant Exclusive, Low Caloric Density Specific..I’m feeling particularly grateful I’ve been intentional about eliminating certain words and phrases from my vocabulary..words like breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, and treat..as a Refined Food Addict and Overeater in Recovery, I was able to recognize those words, in my brain, are already long ago associated w/ images and experiences that aren’t helpful to me now..and since, for me, abstaining from SOFAS has dramatically reduced cravings, these days I just eat..meals..whenever my body calls for fuel..and use the word “treat”.. to describe how well I’m taking care of myself..Definitely not interested in advice, opinions, dismissive comments or anything religion related, I’m under the care of competent health professionals..Just sharing..Here’s to our health💕#EatingForMyL1fe #RefinedFoodAddictInRecovery #SOFASFreeLiving #Wegotthis #Journeyofhealth

It’s been 10 months of learning to sustainably eat SOFAS Free (Salt Oil Flour Alcohol Sugar Free) Whole Food Plant Exclusive.. as a Refined Food Addict and Overeater in Recovery, consistently making some sort of SOFAS Free leafy green and veggies (spinach fruit salad pictured is just spinach, strawberries and mandarins) apart of my first meal, in whatever amount I could manage to convince myself to consume, Whenever my body calls for fuel the first time in a day, and the thylakoids the leafy greens contain, has greatly contributed to cutting cravings for processed foods..in the beginning it wasn’t always easy, and some days it still isn’t, but I’m grateful I continue to keep pushing..Here’s to our health💕#eatingformyl1fe #refinedfoodaddictinrecovery #sofasfreeliving #wegotthis #journeyofhealth #leafygreensforfirstmeal #veggiesforfirstmeal #hydrate

K.I.S.S. (Keeping It SOSF free Simple) SOSF Free (Salt Oil Sugar Flour Free) Mashed potatoes(garlic powder, salt substitute (Mrs. Dash Table Blend), no-salt nutritional yeast, salt-oil-sugar free plant milk, parsley) topped w/ mixed vegetables(steamed plain, topped w/ Mrs. Dash Table Blend Salt Substitute)..it was delicious..sometimes it still feels surreal that abstaining (for the past 10 months) from salt, oil, flour, sugar and alcohol really allows my taste buds to enjoy such a “plain” tasting meal…but it’s really happening and I’m loving the Liberation that comes w/ it..Here’s to our health💕#EatingForMyL1fe #RefinedFoodAddictInRecovery

An SOSF Free (Salt Oil Sugar Flour Free) dessert I put together for my 44th Bornday back in May..looking at these pics had me reflecting on the most recent holiday that was centered around “sweet”, Halloween..gratefully I’ve been eating this way long enough (10 months), that cravings for Refined substances are next to none these days, and the worst of the withdrawal symptoms are behind me..this year, when I saw those all-too-familiar orange plastic buckets and bowls out at the businesses I patronized, I took a moment to observe what came up..and thought it was interesting to see my brain was responding from a space of…conditioning..all these years I’ve associated seeing those bowls/buckets and it’s contents, w/ an immediate reaction of picking up the contents and eating them..as a Refined Food Addict and Overeater in Recovery, I honored that I will need to continue to work on deprogramming these different kinds of conditioning and be vigilant in my observations..I also gave myself permission to acknowledge, that though I have plenty of great memories associated w/ this time of year, I get to make new memories…Here’s to our health💕#eatingformyl1fe #refinedfoodaddictinrecovery #sofasfreeliving #wegotthis #journeyofhealth #leafygreensforfirstmeal #veggiesforfirstmeal #hydrate

Happy Dia De Los Muertos✨SOSF Free (Salt Oil Sugar Flour Free) Whole Food Plant Exclusive eating..at a restaurant..my 17yr old wanted me to take her to a restaurant..so, like usual, since I started eating this way, I called ahead and spoke to a manager to see what actual SOSF Free Whole Food Plants they had on the menu..Fruit was the only thing..so I brought some packets of SOSF Free Vegan Quick Cooking Irish Style Steel Cut Oats(I find these at Giant) and Cinnamon, out w/ me..and when I arrived, ordered hot water, an empty bowl, a fruit bowl and a banana (to mix in my oatmeal)..it was delicious and a beautiful experience to chat it up w/ my daughter over a meal…I Refuse to convince myself eating out, and traveling, while SOSF Free Whole Food Plant Exclusive, is impossible..I did that back in 2017(when I first started eating like this) and that kind of thinking assisted in distracting me..This World is Not my enemy..Here’s to our health💕#eatingformyl1fe#refinedfoodaddictinrecovery#sofasfreeliving#wegotthis#journeyofhealth#leafygreensforfirstmeal#veggiesforfirstmeal#hydrate
